You can attend this course if you are:
A fully qualified medic with a registered pin & already trained in botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. You also need a valid regulated l3 basic life support qualification - this can be added on to your course.
What Will You Learn and complete?
This qualification includes six comprehensive units:
L7 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice units are: 610/7001/5
1- Dermatology, Anatomy and Pathophysiology for Clinical Aesthetic Practice
( 1 set of questions, discussion & exam)
2- Complication Management for Aesthetic Practice
( 1 set of questions, discussion & tasks via simulation x 2)
3- Body Dysmorphia Disorder and Psychological First Aid in Beauty, Wellness and Aesthetic Practice
( 1 exam, set of questions and tasks via roleplay/ discussion)
4- Clinical Aesthetic Procedures: Botulinum Toxin Injections for the Face
(oral questions, 20 observations, reflective journal and extended questions)
5- Clinical Aesthetic Procedures: Temporary Dermal Fillers for the Face
(oral questions, 20 observations, reflective journal and extended questions)
Practical will be start either within 6 weeks or once 40% of the theory is completed.
Practical assessments include 20 botulinum toxin and 20 dermal filler treatments. - Possibly 10 of each can be done on your own clients and remaining completed in the academy.
Practical sessions are once a month and theory zooms are every two weeks for 1 hour with your tutor until completed - approximately 2-3 months
